Heather Krolicki
My entire life my weight has fluctuated. I’ve been super skinny, super fit, and super overweight. As a small child I learned that food was a “safe” way to cope with the stressors of life. Being a college athlete probably helped me a lot during my late teens and early twenties with maintaining a healthy weight. But once I graduated college and entered the real world, I lost my way. See, I hadn’t developed a healthy lifestyle, I merely did what I needed to do to play ball.
I've gone through stints of time of hitting the gym hard and making diet changes, but I never stuck with it long-term. I’d get the results I wanted, typically to lose body fat, and then I’d go right back to my old behaviors (e.g., overeating, over consumption of alcohol, and limited physical activity) and gain the weight back, rinse and repeat. Then January 2020 happened.
My mother passed away on January 6th, 2020, after a 3-year battle with stage four lung cancer. Watching my mother suffer was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through in my life. In the beginning we were hopeful for healing, but as time went on and her condition worsened, I went off the deep end. I ate what I wanted, I drank a lot, and going to the gym was the last thing on my mind. When my mom passed, I weighed the heaviest I ever had at 215lbs.
I was at a crossroads: continue down the road I was going and die from some preventable disease (e.g., coronary heart disease, lung cancer, type 2 diabetes, liver damage) or make the needed changes and live. I wanted to live, but I knew this time had to be different. I couldn’t just focus on the physical, losing fat, I had to change my mindset and create a new lifestyle.
My passion is to help people create lasting behavioral change in their life so that they may achieve their highest potential. My ideal client is sick of the toxic yo-yo diet culture and is ready to make the necessary changes in their life to live the life they say they want.
My coaching style is simple, but not easy. I focus on developing small daily habits that lead to big life changes. If you are ready to invest in yourself, click the button below and schedule a free consultation phone call. I look forward to hearing from you.
