About Matt
Matt Wilson’s journey is one of grit, resilience, and relentless determination. A multi-sport athlete at Archbishop Curley, Matt earned scholarships for both soccer and baseball before enduring career-threatening injuries. Through multiple surgeries, extensive rehab, and sheer perseverance, he defied the odds—returning as an All-American right fielder at Shepherd University. His athletic career laid the foundation for his passion: helping others discover their own strength.
In 2008, “Do Work” was born—not as a business, but as a personal motto. What started with a barbell in the trunk of his Honda Accord and training clients in a local park has grown into a community-driven fitness brand with a 40ft mobile training trailer, hundreds of pieces of equipment, and programs that impact lives across Baltimore.
Today, Matt leads Do Work Factory at Gold’s Gym in Dundalk, offering one-on-one coaching, small group training, and high-energy bootcamps—while also running mobile events, speed training, and community fitness programs. His mission goes beyond workouts: he’s dedicated to building connections, supporting local businesses, and strengthening the community through fitness.
